I have always loved to go on adventures. When I got sick and my body wholly mutinied against me, my companion and I agreed to live as well as we could until the very end. Thankfully, that 'end' has dissolved into more days than I could have imagined. Through sheer tenacity, I was, after 17 years of struggles, able to find enough help to increase the parameters of adventuring. Although my pain level still makes every day a challenge, I remind myself how far I have come and of all the adventures yet to come, even if they are only a few steps out the door or are in my mind.
