Hi, and thanks for checking out my little arc of our bubble.
I'm not sure how you got here, where it was with intent or by accident; I welcome you.
The adventure in creativity is a long, albeit late-started, journey that is only partway through.
The majority of future blog content will include all literary and literary-related pursuits.
The newsletter will keep everyone up on art and life.
(If you have read the About Page, the content below will be familiar.)
As a brief overview:
Reading was a big deal in my family, and I learned the joy of books early. My initial aspiration was to be a writer. Fascinated with my ancestral history, some of which remains a mystery, I had initially hoped to "find out who we were" and write a book.
As it will, the universe had other ideas and led me in the direction of art. Though I doodled in my youth, my mother was a fantastic artist who lost her art. Because of her talent, I never took my own seriously. It wasn't until I was around twenty-five or so that I ever really tried to draw beyond doodling. The inspiration was born out of an effort to make peace. The artwork came out great for never having really tried, so I began to dabble in the visual create effort a little more.
Although I created often, my efforts did not flourish until I meet the person who became my best friend. To some degree, his knowledge permeates everything I create.
I have had no formal training. The past has provided a host of creatives (as well as those so far distant they fill our museums) to help me keep pursuing this passion.
And so, here we are today.
Thanks for checking out my work and my words.
May you find inspiration everywhere you go.
More to come.
